NIPSCO Terms & Conditions
The NIPSCO HomeLife Calculator Program is available for qualified residential customers. Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) residential natural gas customers with active service (limited to residential rates 111, 115 and 151), and/or residential electric customers with active service (limited to residential rate 711) are eligible. Subject to the eligibility requirements set forth herein, Customers are permitted to register for one (1) HomeLife Calculator Kit per NIPSCO account number.
Offer is valid for completion of the NIPSCO HomeLife Calculator and registration for a HomeLife Calculator Kit between January 1, 2019 and November 30, 2019. Customers must not have participated in a previous Home Energy Assessment Program within the last three (3) years, the Income Qualified Weatherization Program within the last ten (10) years. Customers are only eligible for the HomeLife Calculator Program once every three (3) years. Funds are limited, and submissions are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Program is subject to change and may end without prior notice.
NIPSCO reserves the right to verify installations of measures and services. All equipment installations are subject to verification by the Program to ensure the equipment is installed and operating. A quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspection may be conducted to verify installations; such inspections are not safety or code compliance inspections. These may be conducted by Lockheed Martin or a third-party evaluator.
NIPSCO reserves the right to alter or discontinue Program offers at any time without notice.
NIPSCO does not guarantee that energy efficiency equipment installed, or measures or services provided through this Program will result in energy and/or cost savings. NIPSCO reserves the right to deny or limit any Program request. In addition, no warranties on equipment, measure installations or services are provided by NIPSCO, nor does the HomeLife Calculator Program warrant, guarantee or endorse the energy efficiency services provided by any specific Contractor participating in the Program. NIPSCO, the Program Administrator, the Program Implementer, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, officers, directors, agents and employees disclaim any and all liability, loss or damages, and make no guarantees related to: Contractor, account holder and/or property owner’s participation in the Program, including, but not limited to use or installation of the measures or equipment; and any taxes that may be imposed as a result of participation in the Program.
By participating in the Program, Customer, to the extent allowed by law, releases NIPSCO and waives any and all claims against NIPSCO, Program Administrator, Program Implementer, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, directors, officers, agents and employees. Signatory(ies) and applicant(s) hereby indemnify NIPSCO, the Program Administrator, the Program Implementer, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, officers, directors, agents and employees against any and all losses, damages, expense, fees, costs and liability arising from any design, consulting, product, system, equipment, installation services or appliance, in connection with the NIPSCO’s HomeLife Calculator Program.
Customer represents that all information submitted to NIPSCO for purposes of participation in the HomeLife Calculator Program is accurate and true. NIPSCO reserves the right to take all legal actions available to it in the event false statements are made on any NIPSCO Program application. All funds determined, in NIPSCO’s sole discretion, to have been acquired based on fraudulent or misrepresented information must be returned to NIPSCO. NIPSCO may refuse participation if the signatory(ies), account holders, or property owners) violate Program rules or procedures.
NIPSCO is not responsible for any taxes that may be imposed on Customer because of Customer’s receipt of a HomeLife Calculator Kit.
NIPSCO’s residential energy efficiency programs are administered by Lockheed Martin Energy, an independent third-party implementation specialist that helps homes save energy and money.
